OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Ryan is the President and has been with Dorsett & Jackson since 2005. He has over 20 years of experience in the industry starting out as an R&D Chemist at Dunn-Edwards and eventually transitioning into a Technical Sales role with Byk Chemie. He holds a BS in Chemistry with a Concentration in Polymers and Coatings from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He has been a member of the LASCT his entire career and was the Scholarship Chair for 14 years. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid fisherman, snowboarder, and golfer.

Christine joined D&J back in 1996, as a product line manager. She came from the industry, having known Don Witteman. She came in, and quickly became an asset to the company. She grew in her position, having moved up to Office Manager and for the last several years has taken on VP Operations, and Corporate Secretary. Christine continues to run the daily operations, creating a customer service team that is known in the industry as the best. When she isn’t in the office, she can be found cheering on Danny at his baseball games and spending her free time with her grandchildren.

Michelle Pak joined D&J in 2003, as a product line manager. She came from the electronic industry. Her background was in operational logistics and customer support. She has continued to work alongside Chris and since 2019 has been Corporate Secretary and now manages the office. She enjoys listening to her children in their music performances and hiking all over southern California.

OUR SALES TEAM

Scott is a senior Account Manager specializing in Cosmetics and Personal Care. He grew up in Oregon and attended Oregon State University. Scott has over 30 years in the chemical industry and joined Dorsett & Jackson in 2003. Previously Scott spent 5 years at Reichhold Chemical and 10 years at Ashland Chemical. He is a past President of the LASCT.

Craig is based out of Los Angeles, CA and brings with him 20+ years of experience. He will be a Sr. Account Manager for Southern California and Colorado.
Prior to joining D&J he spent time as VP of Key Accounts with ET Horn as well as Senior Technical Sales Representative at Byk-Chemie and Clariant Corporation. Craig brings a strong technical background. In his spare time Craig mentors high school students at his local church, mountain bikes, fishes and enjoys spending time with his family.

Jim quite literally grew up in the coatings industry. He began working for his father during summer breaks from school in their small paint plant in the LA area, eventually growing & selling the business to RPM International in 2000. Jim has amassed a unique 40+ years of experience as a passionate paint & coatings entrepreneur, Public Company Corporate Executive, and Director of Brands for a mid-size ESOP coatings manufacturer in New York. Jim’s creative problem solving and “mixology” skills are just a couple of the attributes he brings to our customers in OR, WA and British Columbia.

Lauren Sarchet resides in Fort Worth, TX and has been cultivating strong customer relationships since 2016. The newest member to the Dorsett & Jackson team, Lauren brings unique experience in partnering with strategic customers across a variety of industries. She graduated with a B.B.A in Marketing with a concentration in B2B Sales, and most recently completed her M.B.A in Marketing, both from the University of North Texas. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her pets, powerlifting, performing with her band, reading, and competing in community intramural sports.

Joining Dorsett & Jackson in 2015, Scott is a Senior Account Manager, with over 39 years of experience in CASE markets, including formulating architectural, industrial coating and technical sales for leading raw material manufactures. In his free time, he enjoys time with his family, fishing and rooting for the Los Angeles, Dodgers.

Danny is a Senior Account Manager and has worked in the Paint and Coatings industry for over 35 years. He has been with Dorsett & Jackson since 1995 and has been a LASCT member for 25 years. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball and baseball, he currently is the biggest Red Sox fan in Southern California and still hopes to be called up to the big club.

Peter is an Account Manager in industries such as coatings, composites, personal care, inks and 3-D printing. Peter graduated from Cal State University Channel Island with a degree in Biology and chemistry and has been with Dorsett & Jackson since 2013. Peter is a member of LASCT and SCC. On his free time he enjoys playing ice hockey.

OUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM

Whittney joined D&J in February of 2012, as a product line manager. Whittney came from the manufacturing side of our industry, handling customer service, payable and office management. Whittney came in with a knowledge of distribution and has continued to grow within the company, helping anywhere that is needed. When she is not working, she is volunteering at her kids’ school, or cooking for her family.

Amee joined D&J in March of 2022. Amee is a customer service representative and assist our sales team with all their sample needs. When she is not working, you can find her in the kitchen baking

Art Maturan started his career back in 1992 working in the paint industry and then managing a wholesale flooring company, in 2016 a position opened in the D&J warehouse for a Warehouse/ Shipping manager and Art quickly fit in with the office. He handles all the inbound/ outbound shipping schedules, hazardous training, and manages the warehouse personnel. He is quick to help any department and when he isn’t in the office, you can find him hanging out with his beautiful family.
